Yes, We Still Have No Bananas
Part 2 of 2

The second part of the pilot. After Rhesus destroys the planet of the "          "s force field, we take to the air, but that has its share of problems: We get lost in time, Gor breaks the Orbitron, plus the spaceship happens to be desgned for humans - and it don't have seat belts.

Best Line
Spydor: "Let me get this straight in my puny little monkey mind: We're risking our lives fighting a metal monkey with a portable brain and a guy who wants to be a black hole defending something that we don't even know what it is? Hellooo! What's wrong with this picture?!"

Quote
"No monkey is an island..."
John Donne — 1572-1631

Cultural References

Rhesus 2 says, "I'm singing in my brain," a reference to Malcolm McDowell's character Alex in A Clockwork Orange, who sang "Singin' in the Rain." Splitzy

After the Orbitron is broken, it sings "Bicycle Built For Two," the song that the computer HAL could sing in 2001: A Space Odyssey. Gordon Bressack

The Captain's speech before Shao Lin goes through the wormhole bears a strong resemblance to a line said to Ilsa Lund by Rick Blaine in Casablanca. S

"And I helped!" was said by a girl in early Shake 'N Bake commercials. S

"No monkey is an island" resembles the line "No man is an island" from Meditation XVII by John Donne. S

Other Facts

The short scene when Spydor says, "He broke it!" is the only scene from the series that also appears in the opening sequence (besides the stock footage of the peel-off maneuver). S

The small console in front of the Captain's chair doesn't appear in later episodes. S

This is the only episode with a unique closing theme song. S
